Lynne Shackleton Ford developed an interest in fine art Black/White and Color photography while an art student at the UNH where she received a BA in Art. She has been actively photographing ever since. She focuses on nature subjects, particularly from the local sanctuaries and open spaces near her home in Marshfield, Massachusetts. She has worked in the graphic arts field for over thirty years as a graphic artist and pre-press technical manager.
In 2003 Lynne migrated from traditional film and darkroom processes to an entire digital workflow. In 2005 Lynne began creating pieces with Corel Painter which allowed her to combine her fine art training with her own photography to create original digital art.
Lynne is a member of the South Shore Camera Club where she competes at the Advanced level and a member of the Duxbury Camera Club where she serves on the Steering Committee.
Lynne is also an active member of several local art associations including The Duxbury Art Association, The Plymouth Guild for the Arts, and The North River Arts Society. Since 2003 she has competed and placed in numerous local juried shows with the above organizations as well as The Situate Arts Association, The Quincy Art Association, and The Massachusetts Audubon Society. She has received numerous awards for Color, Black & White, Special Effects and Digital photography ranging from First Place to Honorable Mention as well as Best in Show/ Photography and Best in Show/Quincy.
